Office

When my roommate moved out, I decide to convert the other room into an office. Many people I have asked me what it looks like, so here you go! Enjoy

In vision a red loveseat under the flag, some day...and yes, I did make the flag. My first real quilting project.

If you could not tell by now, I collect 4th of July items. My birthday falls on that great day, so I decided to have some fun with it.

Girls Camp 2011

This was my third year at girls camp and it was great as always. The young women in my ward are amazing; they may be small in numbers but big in heart!

Thanks for a great time girls, I will miss going with you next year.

Nebraska

In the middle of July I flew to Denver and then drove out to Lincoln with Trent and Amy. Sarah and Bryce were already there. We had a wonderful time and it was great to spend time with family. Cannon was the spotlight and he was a lot of fun to have around. Here are some of things that we did while we were there.

Cannon drove the tractor!

I love this picture of Amy and Cannon she is a great mom and an awesome sister!

June & July

This year I have been able to see my family on a number of occasions! It has been a lot of fun and I have enjoyed every moment. The end of June Amy came to Tucson with Cannon.

We also celebrated her birthday a couple days early...

It was a lot of fun and I am so glad that she was able to come visit. Shortly after that it was July 4th weekend. It was a crazy weekend but so worth it. I went to Prescott with Olivia and Chelsa for part of it. We enjoyed the parade, being in the woods and watching Alias.

This pictures is for Dad, you got to love the pink T-bird

Chelsa and I at the parade, it was a really warm morning let me tell you, but so much fun.

The girls and I the morning that I left
I then went down to Tucson to spend time with mom, dad, Bryce and Sarah, it was a nice relaxing 4th of July, just the way I like it!!!!

Grandma Lyman

January 26th 2011 was a bitter sweet day. It was the day that Grandma Lyman left this earth life. Bitter, because it is hard to see a loved one pass away and leave you behind. Sweet, in that she lived a VERY full life. She was 95 year old, her body had been weak, but yet her mind so very sharp to the end. I have wonderful memories of my grandma and will cherish them the rest of my life. I think of the greatest blessings that has come to my family is the time that she lived with us for 2 years while Aunt Joyce and Uncle Milton were on their mission. She brought a wonderful spirit into our home and was a joy to have around. It was a hard day for me to see her leave and go back to California, but I knew that is where she wanted to be. The oldest grandson from each of her children were the poll bearers.

Her funeral was a wonderful experience. Out of 40 grandchildren only 3 were unable to attend. It was wonderful to see everyone and spend time all together! As grandma would always put it, "stay sweet, I love you". My whole family including the newest member Alyssa! Mom's two favorite people Cannon and Belle, but I get the feeling Belle is a little jealous in this picture

We went hiking on saturday, it was freezing outside, but you cant go to Esclante and not spend time in the outdoors! Plus that is what grandma would want us to do.
